A message from our MD, Dino Barile

After over 30 years, it’s time for me to take a step back from the business that has provided me with endless cherished moments and experiences.
It’s been a whirlwind journey since 1992. I still remember that April day when a new opportunity was presented to me. I seized it with both hands and held on tight. I knew then that it could change my life, and it has.
When I look back, I see my younger self as scared but determined to move forward. Since then, I have lived by focusing on the opportunities of the future, while keeping my feet firmly in the present.
Ever since, it has been an endless series of dichotomies – learning and teaching, shaping and operating, challenges and accomplishments, disappointments and gratifications, failures and successes, laughs and tears, contrasts and hugs.
Over the years, I have enjoyed meeting many wonderful people and enjoyed working with internal teams, external partners, and suppliers to ensure the success of our valued clients.
Values such as respect, honesty, and a touch of romanticism have been the guiding principles that have shaped my daily operations since 1992.
And yet, there comes a time when you sit, sip, and think… what’s next?
Many have not seen me at recent trade shows, and some may have questioned: Where’s Dino, and what is he up to?
I am still alive and kicking, certainly, but I have decided to slow down, unwind, and letgo of the pressure of finding new businesses and events to manage, while dedicating more time to my family.
With a solid understanding of our destinations, a trusted team of full-time employees, and a network of freelance staff, it's time for a new business approach. Looking ahead, I will focus my time on a few trusted clients who will continue to rely on us to create exceptional events across Switzerland and Italy.
This is Welcome Swiss and Welcome Italy today; this is me, and this is our future.
Ad Majora,
Dino Barile
